MAREUNROL'S WAS ESTABLISHED BY US - TWO FASHION DESIGNERS, MARITE MASTINA - PĒTERKOPA AND ROLANDS PĒTERKOPS, AND IT IS BASED IN RIGA, LATVIA. THE COMPANY WAS OFICIALLY FOUNDED IN 2012.
WE BOTH FIND THE STORY TO BE THE CORE FOUNDATION OF OUR CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS. THEREFORE WE WORK IN VARIOUS ART DISCIPLINES: CREATE FASHION COLLECTIONS TWICE A YEAR, CREATE SET DESIGNS AND ART INSTALLATIONS, AS WELL AS COSTUMES FOR OPERA AND THEATRE.

WE ARE THE WINNERS OF THE 24TH FESTIVAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND FASHION IN HYERES IN 2009. WE ALSO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN SUCH FASHION AND ART EVENTS AS PARIS MENS FASHION WEEK, PRAGUE QUADRENNIAL OF PER- FORMANCE DESIGN AND SPACE, ARNHEM FASHION BIENNIAL (2009/2013), BARCELONA 080, ITS-INTERNATIONAL TALENT SUPPORT CONTEST #SIX . WE HAVE PRESENTED OURSELVES IN JAPAN, FRANCE, SPAIN, ITALY, GERMANY, RUSSIA, AND CHILE.

MAREUNROL'S IS INCLUDED IN THE BOOK "PATTERN: 100 DESIGNERS,10 CURATORS" (Phaidon, 2013) AS ONE OF 100 MOST TALENTED DESIGNERS WORKING TODAY. MAREUNROL’S ALSO GOES INTO HISTORY AS THE FIRST LATVIAN BRAND TO BE EVER FEATURED IN THE OFFICIAL PROGRAMME OF PARIS FASHION WEEK. OUR COSTUMES WERE BOUGHT BY THE LATVIAN NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ARTS FOR ITS ARCHIVE COLLECTION. VOGUE ITALY HAS FEATURED MAREUNROL’S AMONG 200 OF THE MOST PROMISING GLOBAL DESIGNERS.
MAREUNROL’S WAS SHORTLISTED FOR INTERNATIONAL WOOLMARK PRIZE EUROPEAN FINAL 2016/17.

THE CONCEPT OF BRAND IS TO CREATE WEARABLE CLOTHES AND PRESENT THEM IN A BIT SURREAL WAY, AND AT THE SAME TIME WITH A REALISTIC ATTITUDE. WE HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO CREATE AND SHOW THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSI- BLE. IT IS A CREATIVE POETICISM AROUND THE BODY AND INTELLECTUAL FASHION, WHICH INCLUDE THE PHILOSO- PHY AROUND DESIGN, CUTTINGS, DETAILS, QUALITY, COLOURS, FABRICS, SOUND, VISUAL SPACE, ACCESSORIES, AND ART OBJECTS THAT HELP US TO TELL THE STORY AS CLEARLY AND DIRECTLY AS POSSIBLE.
OUR GOAL IS TO DISCOVER DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE OF SPACE, HUMAN, THINKING, AND TO EXPRESS IT THROUGH OUR POINT OF VIEW, TO DISCOVER A NEW UNDERSTANDING OF THE BEAUTY OF TOMORROW. EACH COLLECTION IS LIKE A STORY AND A SUMMARY OF SEVERAL FORMS OF EXPRESSION, WHICH SEEKS TO TELL PEOPLE SOMETHING MORE, INSTEAD OF JUST SHOWING CLOTHES.
OUR BUSINESS GOAL IS TO DEVELOP AN INNOVATIVE CONTEMPORARY FASHION/ CLOTHING BRAND THAT OFFERS GARMENTS FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN.
